. WorkTech – Terms & Conditions Effective Date: 2025 Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using WorkTech services. By installing or using the WorkTech App, creating a WorkTech account, or posting/accepting jobs, you (“User”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services. This Agreement applies to all users of WorkTech, including Merchants (retailers), Engineers, and approved Subcontractors. 1. About WorkTech WorkTech provides tools and integrations (the “App” or the “Services”) for retailers to offer customers optional installation services for purchased products. Retailers may: Enable installation services via e-commerce integrations, or Submit/post jobs directly through their WorkTech web app account, including at the point of sale (POS). WorkTech is responsible for both managing the platform and carrying out installation services through its network of verified engineers and subcontractors. The App is free to download, but it can only be activated once WorkTech has: Created an online account for the Merchant or Engineer; and Allocated a User ID and one or more Sub-Category IDs. 2. Eligibility Users must be 18 years or older and legally able to enter into binding contracts. Merchants must ensure that installation services are only offered for products that fall within the Sub-Category IDs assigned to their account. Engineers and subcontractors must pass WorkTech’s vetting process before receiving job assignments. 3. Installation Services WorkTech will provide professional installation services to end customers who opt in at checkout or through a posted job. All installation services carried out by WorkTech are covered by a 12-month warranty on labour. WorkTech engineers and subcontractors must be fully vetted, insured, and competent to undertake the services they accept. 4. Merchant Responsibilities Merchants agree to: Provide accurate product and service descriptions, including clear notes where installation is available. Configure installation options within the App (e.g., “Heading checkout page” and “Body checkout page”) so customers are fully informed. Ensure their use of the Services complies with all applicable consumer protection and e-commerce laws. Promptly notify WorkTech of any errors, omissions, or changes affecting installation availability. Submit accurate customer details when posting jobs (contact information, address, and service requirements). 5. Engineer & Subcontractor Responsibilities All Engineers and Subcontractors must: Pass verification before their account is activated. Hold valid, up-to-date Public Liability Insurance throughout the time they use WorkTech’s Services. Proof of insurance must be submitted, and expired policies will result in account suspension until renewed. Provide proof of a valid government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s licence). Keep all vetting documents current (e.g., ID, insurance, licences). Only accept jobs within their professional competence and supply proof of accreditation where required. Inform WorkTech of any changes to their business, ownership, address, or legal details. Respond professionally and promptly to customer and WorkTech communications. Never attempt to undercut WorkTech by taking jobs directly from clients. Subcontracting Engineers may not subcontract any job unless: The subcontractor is already verified and approved by WorkTech; and WorkTech is notified and approval is granted. 6. Payments Customers pay for installation services upfront at checkout or POS. WorkTech manages all payments. Engineers and subcontractors will be paid once the job is completed and confirmed. Engineers must not request or accept direct payments from customers. Merchants will not be charged any additional fees for enabling installation services. WorkTech will reimburse engineers for approved additional materials if notified at the time of installation. Breaches of these payment terms (e.g., undercutting WorkTech, demanding direct payment from clients) will result in account termination and an indefinite ban. 7. Communication & Issue Resolution Merchants must promptly forward any installation-related customer queries to WorkTech. Engineers must inform WorkTech immediately of any job issues, including technical or labour complications, or where additional work is required (e.g., cabling, brackets, sockets, soundbar installation).
